these easy steps to keep your eyes healthy.
1)
Eat Well
Your good eye health
starts with the food you eat. nutrients such as lutein, zinc, omega-3 fatty
acids and vitamins C and E might help ward off age related vision disorders for
example, cataract and macular degeneration.
To get them fill your
plate with

Green leafy vegetables
like spinach, kale and collards.

Salmon, tuna and
other oily fish
·
Eggs, nuts,
beans and other nonmeat protein source
·
Oranges and
fruits or juice
A
well balanced diet helps us to stay at healthy weight. That lowers our odds of
obesity and related diseases such as type2 diabetes, which is leading cause of
blindness in adults.
The pair of sunglasses can
help protect our eyes from the sun’s ultraviolet rays. UV (ultraviolet rays)
exposure boosts your chances of cataract, and macular degeneration.
Wear
a photochromic lens also known as sunglasses that blocks 99% to 100% of ultraviolet
rays. Polarized lenses reduce glare while you are driving but don’t necessary
offer added protection.
3) Look Away From the Computer Screen

or phone for too long can cause

To
protect your eyes:
1)
Make sure your
glasses or contact lens prescription is up to date and good for looking at a
computer screen or mobile phone.
2)
If your eye
strain won’t go away, talk to your doctor about computer glasses.
3)
Move the screen
so your eyes are level with the top of the monitor. That lets you look slightly
down at the screen
4)
Try to avoid
glare from windows and lights. Use an anti-glare screen if needed.
5)
Sit a
comfortable and supportive chair.
6)
If your eyes are
dry, blink more or use artificial tears and stay hydration
7)
Reset your eyes
every 20 minutes. Look 20 feet away for 20 second. Get up at least every hour
and take 15 minutes break
4) Visit Your Eye Doctor Regularly.
Everybody needs a
regular eye checkup even young children and infants. It helps protect your
vision and lets you see your best.
Eye exams can also play
a vital role to find diseases such as glaucoma (silent thief of sight). It doesn’t
have symptoms. It’s important to spot them early on, when they are easier to
treat.

Ophthalmologist:
are medical doctor who specialize in eye care. They can provide general eye
care, treat eye diseases and perform eye surgery. While Optometrists are also
specialized and well training to perform eye diagnosis. They providing general
eye care and can diagnose and treat your eye diseases and checkup your visual
acuity.
